IJSSTA recognizes the growing role of generative artificial intelligence (AI) and AI-assisted technologies in scholarly research, academic writing, and publishing. The journal supports the responsible, ethical, and transparent use of AI tools while maintaining the highest standards of research integrity, originality, and academic accountability.
Authors may use AI-assisted technologies for purposes such as language enhancement, grammar correction, formatting assistance, or improving readability. However, authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, scientific validity, and integrity of all submitted content. The use of AI tools does not replace the intellectual contributions, critical analysis, interpretation, or ethical responsibilities of the authors.
AI tools and generative AI systems cannot be listed as authors or co-authors because they are unable to take responsibility for the content, approve the final manuscript, disclose conflicts of interest, or comply with authorship requirements. All listed authors must have made significant scholarly contributions to the work and must approve the final submitted version.
Authors are required to disclose the use of generative AI or AI-assisted technologies in the preparation of their manuscripts. Such disclosures should clearly indicate how the AI tool was used, including its role in language editing, content organization, data analysis assistance, or any other relevant activity. The disclosure should be included in an acknowledgment section or a dedicated statement within the manuscript.
The journal strictly prohibits the use of AI-generated content that involves fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, manipulation of data, misleading citations, or any form of unethical scholarly practice. Authors are responsible for verifying all AI-assisted outputs, references, data interpretations, and factual statements included in the manuscript.
Reviewers and editors must maintain strict confidentiality throughout the peer-review and editorial process. Unpublished manuscripts, confidential data, reviewer comments, or editorial communications must not be uploaded into public AI systems or third-party generative AI platforms. Any use of AI technologies during the review or editorial process must fully comply with confidentiality obligations, ethical publishing standards, and responsible research practices.
IJSSTA reserves the right to reject manuscripts where the use of AI technologies compromises academic integrity, originality, transparency, ethical standards, or the scientific quality of the work.
IJSSTA is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics, research integrity, and transparency in scholarly publishing. The journal follows internationally recognized ethical guidelines, including COPE, ICMJE, WAME, and CONSORT, to ensure fair, responsible, and unbiased editorial practices.
All submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of their work, proper citation of all sources, and adherence to ethical research standards. Plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, duplicate submission, and citation manipulation are strictly prohibited.
Authors must ensure that all listed co-authors have made significant contributions to the research and have approved the final manuscript prior to submission. Authors are also required to disclose any conflicts of interest, funding sources, and ethical approvals where applicable.
Editors are responsible for ensuring a fair, unbiased, and confidential peer-review process. Editorial decisions are based solely on academic merit, originality, and relevance to the journal scope, without discrimination of any kind.
Reviewers are expected to maintain confidentiality, provide objective and constructive feedback, identify relevant missing citations, and disclose any conflicts of interest that may affect their review.
Any suspected research misconduct will be investigated in accordance with COPE guidelines. Actions may include rejection, correction, retraction, or notification to the authors’ institution depending on the severity of the issue.
